Welcome to my blog!

Hi All-

Weight loss is not about luck.. it is about choices. Choices (sometimes harder than others) that I make everyday, one day at a time…sometimes a hour at a time… sometimes a minute at a time.

I’m not on a diet, I’ve never been on a diet, and I won’t ever be on a diet again. I started Weight Watchers and I changed my life. I love old cars and I see myself as a 67 turquoise convertible Camero. My path in life is Route 66 and I have classic rock (on vinyl) blaring on the radio. That is my road of life… even if I take a slight detour now and then (to see the biggest ball of twine – or eat more than one oversized piece of “divorce cake”), or run out of gas, or need a tune up… I just start up the engine again (sometimes it takes a few cranks or some extra motivation) and I get back on the road and keep on cruising along.

On my weight loss road, I used Weight Watchers to help me lose 96 pounds in 41 weeks. I kept the weight off for almost a year. However, I started feeling like I had "graduated" from Weight Watchers. I stopped attending meetings on a regular basis and got sloppy about writing things down. I also fell on my butt roller skating with my son and bruised my tailbone... a slight detour took me higher on the scale than I like being. I'm back on track now... tracking what I eat, thinking before putting food in my mouth, and I'm attending my meetings on a regular basis.

Thanks for stopping by. I plan on using this blog to not only keep myself on track, but to help others as they try to lose weight.
